TNN App Privacy Policy

Introduction This Privacy Policy explains how The Nurses Network Ltd ("TNN", "we", "us") collects, uses, and protects your personal data when you access or use our mobile or web application (the "Platform"). TNN is committed to handling your information responsibly and in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018. 2. Who We Are TNN is the data controller for the information you provide when registering, engaging with content, and using community features. EQUALS3 is our technology and platform provider. Where relevant (e.g. in system configuration, analytics, and moderation), TNN and EQUALS3 act as joint data controllers. Supplier partners who sponsor or publish content on the Platform may be independent data controllers where you engage directly with their material or provide them with data. 3. What Personal Data We Collect We may collect and process the following information about you: Identity Data – name, email address, professional role, and qualifications. Profile & Usage Data – webinar attendance, forum participation, referral links clicked, login times, activity logs. Marketing & Communication Data – preferences for email updates, push notifications, referral tracking. Transaction Data – membership status, subscription type, and renewal dates (processed within the Platform – no card details are held by TNN or EQUALS3). We do not collect or process payment card details directly. Payments are handled by our secure billing partner within the TNN platform. 4. How We Use Your Data Your personal data is used to: Manage your membership account and access to features; Deliver and personalise educational and community content; Operate the referral and rewards programme; Provide customer and technical support; Facilitate supplier promotions that you choose to engage with; Ensure compliance with our Terms & Conditions and legal obligations. 5. Legal Bases for Processing We rely on the following legal bases to process your data: Contractual necessity – to provide the services you’ve signed up for; Consent – for marketing emails, referral links, and sponsored content; Legitimate interests – for community management, platform analytics, and service improvements; Legal compliance – to meet our obligations under UK data protection laws. Sharing Your Data We only share your data when necessary: With EQUALS3, who supports platform infrastructure, content management, and analytics under a joint controller arrangement; With supplier partners, only when you engage with their content or services (e.g. joining a sponsored webinar or clicking an offer); With approved subcontractors who support our platform under strict data protection obligations. We do not sell your data or share it with advertisers. 7. You can: View or cancel your subscription by logging into your account and accessing account settings. Please do not attempt to cancel your subscription via your app store, as renewals are not processed through Apple or Google billing. 9. Data Storage & Security All data is securely stored in the UK using encrypted servers and secure access protocols. We regularly review and update our security measures. Data is retained only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes set out in this policy or as required by law. 10. Cookies & Local Storage The Platform uses local storage and cookies (where applicable) to support session management, analytics, and feature performance.
